I guess this could be considered Off road since it never went on road :)
My daughter is in all the plays at both her grade school and high school. As such I am also the main set guy for them. Luckily there are always great parents to help.
here is the car that I put together for Grease. It had to be small enough to fit through some side doors and this car was tight.
I called around and there is a VW salvage yard about 3 hours away. Told him what I needed and he let me borrow a bug that already had the top cut off for another person, who never picked it up, that wanted to use it for another play. And three years later we bought our sand rail from him.
One side was fixed up relatively perfect, the other left in primer spots. Fin was removable with velcro.
