Don't forget the Orange County correction factor. RWHP x 1.25 = OC RWHP

I'll take a bad day with the OC correction factor! Haha

thechief86 Sun Apr 03, 2016 9:57 am

Lol it sounds like I need to move to OC to get this 25% gain!
Where the hell did that even come from? I was familiar with corrections for altitude with land speed racing, but OC is at sea level? Lol crazy commie bastard in Kalifornia makin up their own rules and shit...

It's a long standing joke and a jibe at the OC engine builders who's engines always seem to make more power on the dyno than anyone else can reproduce.

Exactly! and if you put thier 150 hp engine on my dyno it will only make 100 hp! And I am only 150ish miles north of OC

Hehe!
But the numbers dont really say anything as long as we do not know which calibration it was produced under. From a general experience I´d say that it is most likely SAE J1349, which is what most US guys are using today, Mustang dyno´s excempt. I have NO idea what they are using.
