I have been involved in a transaction with James King (roadkil@texas.net)
sense Febuary 17, which is the day I sent the payment via paypal. I have heard from him once two days later saying he would be out of town for a few days, and he would let me know when my parts would be ready to ship.

He has posted new items here on the samba, a few times, and I have been emailing him for a week, but have not heard a single thing from him.

Has anyone here delt with him, or know him or have another way to contact him because I am getting worried.

Thanks for any help

I bought something from him about a month ago. No problems at all, the item was as described. Here is his phone number, hope this helps:
Oops, UZI was right, my bad.....number removed

i dealt with him and everything went fine on a fairly big ticket item.

i would suggest not puitting anyones personal information like a phone number on the www without their permission. you can use the PM function.

i did business with james about a year ago and had the same problem... he suddenly disappeared as i was negotiating a deal for a hazet tool.the tool was a flare nut wrench that looked suitable for camber adjustment- so to be sure, i asked him if the nut size of the wrench in question was 36mm... never heard back from him. a month later he refreshed his ad, so i wrote to him again, he was willing to sell the item, and i went for it, with out trying to ask the same questions... for fear that he would disappear again! boy was i sorry... the tool he sold me was for a VOLVO !!! if he had answered the Q instead of disappearing, i wouldnt be out 45 bucks.

I bought a rear bumper and bumper gaurds in 2 seperate transactions from him in the past 2 months with NO problems what so ever. He is kind of slow on the e-mail trail but he comes through. Maybe call him and work it out.

Forgive my language but that is a shitty way of doing business. He has my money the least he could do is reply to an email with a yes it shipped, no it did not ship, all I can think when there is no email is there goes my money. Which is what I think is going on here.

At this point I am looking at what I can do legally.

i actually think you will get your part... sounds like this guy has things going on out of town and perhaps that has him hung up for much longer than he expected. i agree that he should still find some way to email. some sellers are a little weird... they perhaps think: well I know i will EVENTUALLY send this item, without ever considering that others have no way of knowing that. so naturally, james get blasted in the forums, which cant be good for his reputation. too bad for him. those who dont deal right get what they deserve.

i dealt with him a half a year ago, though I didnt end up getting a eriba puck trade for my familia with him, he seens to be a honest guy, works long days, most ours phone conestions were after 9 pst time, you may call him a bit later, and reach him, I guess he travels the show selling stuff. sorry your out cash right now, and he should return your calls, I hope hes just busy, he seens like the do the right thing type of guy.

I bought a full set of spoon latchs from him, took a long time to close the deal and to stay in contact with him. Parts were exactley as described whan they finally arrived

I've bought a few things from him in the past and he has even gone out of his way to locate me some hard to find parts for my barndoor and was very reasonable about prices. I do know that he is pretty busy with work and travelling alot but he's always handled his business fair with me.

i have done business several times with James and have had no problems at all. some of you guys are complaining about him and the way he does business. not everybody can sit by the computer 24/7 and please each person that comes along. just try to have a little patience when dealing with someone who is trying to sell/buy a product. so to answer your question of does anyone know James King, 'yes i do' and he practices fairly and tries not to cheat or mislead anyone.

Just got my double cab bed braces from James. Good pricing, good product. Be patient with him he is away from the computer, but he does follow thru. Good transaction.

I sold James a single cab and some parts, both times the money was here promptly. I'd gladly deal with him again without reservation.
