| are the brake hoses interchangable throughout the years? I need brake hoses for my 64 notch, and the local stores are having problems finding the part #'s. If it is the same brake hoses for a 66-7? type 3 they do have them locally. |

When I had a disc brake Fastback I used a set for a swing-arm T1 with discs and now use those from a drum brake swing-arm T1 on my notchback. They are fine for length. Better still, I use Goodridge stainless steel braded hoses; better pedal pressure and they last OK (unlike two sets of Brazilian hoses I've had...)

| I actually unded up finding sutible replacements at my local vw shop, Victory Auto parts in Sacramento, on Auburn near Watt (quick plug for Jeff the owner) I brought in a front and rear, and we matched up to what he had, the probably are incorrect as the new ones had about an extra 1/8 in. in length, but they are german not brazil, and they worked out great so I am happy. |
