It has been suggested that the Edsel line failed partly due to the front grill looking lile a vagina. America in the 50's was pretty uptight concerning female business...
??? If a vagina was 3 ft high and chrome plated, maybe.

The best part of the Tercel 4wd wagon was the tailgate- it looks like an ATM machine.

my wife has an element. the seats are uncomfortable and it is extremely underpowered. but its not ugly!
I wonder if they changed the seats from year to year. I've had 2 back surgeries and a neck fusion and have driven my Element on 4 separate 16 hour drives without so much as a twinge when stopping for fuel, etc. It's one of the main reasons I'm considering buying another one. |

Speaking of '61 Plymouths and Type 34s, anyone else see a resemblance here?
There was a lot of back and forth between Ghia and Chrysler during the Exner years, and Exner's son Virgil Jr. was working at Ghia when the Type 34 was in development. :-k
You know, I never thought of it, but I think you're right! No WONDER I love both VWs and funky old Mopars!!
