View original topic: Suspension bushings, lube or powder?
Spanky14 Mon Jun 06, 2016 10:07 am

Working on my first 5/1600 build, and need a little help.
On my rear bushings I'm running the stock black bushings, front torsion tube bushings are the red urethane. I've seen pics that show using powder, then I've heard of people using a synthetic grease, what is best?
Thanks for the help.

Home Depot, "Silicone Faucet Grease", $3.77 for 1/2 oz.

For the rear also, or just the front?

I would silicone the urethane bushings, powder the rubber ones.

I don't recommend rubber bushings for front or rear for a 5-1600. They will allow an awful lot of movement and will crush out under the hard use of offroad racing. I like graphite spray for lubing the rear urethane bushings. I use blue boat trailer wheel bearing grease for the front.
