The date of June 22 was chosen in part for its historic significance to the Beetle. This date commemorates the day in 1934 when the developmental contract for the VW Beetle was signed.

Drive Your VW to Work Day has evolved, through the combined efforts of VW clubs and enthusiasts alike, it has grown to become a popular event for many Beetle owners.

It's funny, I drive my vw most every day. Last night I pulled it in the garage to do a brake upgrade. So today is drive my F150 to work day. :lol:

I drove my buggy this morning to pick up some supplies to do some chores around the house. That is as close to work as I get these days. Does that count?

Not me this year. My employer forced me out after over 4 decades at end of February; but I got 52 weeks severance pay.

I would have driven Clementine if I knew ahead of time, except for this year. I am giving her a rest after the ordeal coming home from the Type 3 Invasion. Gotta keep my promises to my mistress!

Maybe we need to post this a week ahead or something...

I work at home but I did drive my Bus from the driveway around to my side yard.

I guess that counts since I drove it around my property.
