Does anyone have any advice on swapping out a ball joint front suspension with a King/Link Pin front end? I have both available but it seems there are more options and strength with the Link Pin setup. Also the Link Pin front is allready raised through cutting and Rotating the tube centers. Pictures and or step by step instructions would be great.
Thanks for anything. |

in order to replace your BJ beam with a LP beam, you need to replace the pan head. not an easy task. i think there may be adapters, but those would kick the front end out a few inches and may not work depending on how much stock steel you have on the front of your car. the aftermarket favors the LP beams for all the longer trailing arms and stronger components available. I am currently building a wider LP beam for my rail buggy project. hope this helped

Yes, thank you. I am aware that I have to replace the front clip. I have an earlier car that I was going to swap with, but I am wandering exactly were to cut and weld. It looks like I can simply cut the welds on the clip and remove the upper section (with the hump) and retain the lower main pan section. Is this correct? I am hoping to find pictures of it being done so I have something for referance.
Thanks |
