T3,Front axle, needle bearings are going out. Any suggestions on where to find replacement parts? Thanks

Salvage yard, you'll need the whole beam. Or if you're close to Portland contact the DDB. I only say that because the aftermarket doesn't offer any parts for the type3. :(

I thought the bottom bearings were the same as a Type1?

If your arms are also worn, be careful what you buy as the top arms on early type 3s are different; they extend further into the beam.

Thanks for the help! I drive the hell out of my 71 square. I have heard something to the effect that some of the bearings could possibly be replaced with a type I bearing. Any suggestions on how to test these junkyard bearings/Beam before I install? Is eyeballing the beam/bearings for usual wear and giving the bearings a good cleaning/spin a good test?
Thanks in advance.
