Hey... I was wondering if i can baja or raise an 87 wolfsburg jetta???

has anyone ever done this?? if so... how?? are there any photos out there??

I think it would be a sweet project for the summer!

Take another hit from the bong and you will have forgotten all about this crazy little idea of yours. They make bajas and trucks for stuff like this.

They make one size fits all lift kits for jeeps and all that stuff, if you got the balls and bucks you should be able to to it. I heard that all a body lift is metal between the frame and body with some longer bolds, once you lift the body you should be able to get bigger tires.

Ive done some reading and apparently i can just shim the body to raise it.. a couple spot welds, and bam, ive got an extra 5 " then i can put some nice big ass tires and i'll be riding in style 8)

Not saying it's impossible. Just doesn't seem very practicle.

Just go down to the junkyard, find a small truck like the chevy s-10 or blazer with the closest wheelbase, buy the rolling frame, and bolt your unibody onto it. Then with the huge chevy aftermarket, you can lift it somemore and fit some performance stuff on. To stay somewhat VW, you can fit a Toureg drivetrain. Or you can import the rare Golf Syncro Country from Europe. It sits higher than a stock MK II. \:D/
