| right im getting bored of the exhausts that are on the market at the moment there doesnt seem to be a huge selection, unless im looking in the wrong area, but basically im looking for a side exit that goes infront of the back wheels. does anyone know were i can get this? do i have to fabricat it my self? money being the usual issue! its to fit a 64 ghia with a 1914 engine |

You want to keep the lenght of the tubing off of each cylinder the same. So you would need to wrap alot of pipe around under the car....
I wonder.......
Do J tubes bolt on backwards. i.e. on 2 and 4 instead of 1 and 3? That might make things easier. |

I don't know if there is a system out there now that will work like that, but I'm trying to alter a type IV system to do that, since my muffler is currently sticking about a foot out behind my ghia's bumper. You may end up having to fabricate a system for that yourself, since no one seems to make one.
I don't see any reason why you wouldn't be able to put J-tubes on backwards except for posible clearance problems with the transmission. It works on an engine out of a car. |

| would it be wise using the j tubes going back? would this not cause problems with the transmtion, i have got some ideas but just need a point in the right direction! yeah ive got the sticking out bumper thing as well, my car is smoothed right down so i wanna keep that sleek look. ive seen it on a couple on ghias, one just came out one side and the other one was on both and it was super low |

| There is a Ghia on Rocky Mountain Motorworks on line catalog that looks like what you are after. Look at the red Ghia on page 45, looks like the exhaust exiting in front of the rear wheel. Wonder how they did it? |
