im building a rail and need some help. its a irs rear but i want to run wide 5. i have some good type 3 backing plates and drums im just looking for shoes, wheel cylinders and hardware..what years am i looking for..cip1 seem to be limited for some parts

Buying complete used Beetle Wide 5 drum brakes or aftermarket Wide 5 disc brakes kit in Sydney would be the easiest/cheapest. |

The Type 3 rear brakes really make a difference over the Type 1 when trying to stop large wheel/tire combinations. I would try RockAuto.

Unfortunately, I do not know the years on the older Type 3s, hopefully someone else will chime in. |

Usually it's 64-65 rear brakes. |
