I have a few different OG round mirrors, how many companies made them?
Makers mark is GB
Makers mark is a pair of crossed flags (i think)
Another GB mirror but a different style
I also bought this one that I thought was NOS but it has a rubber ring around the mirror, dealer replacement maybe?
Maker mark is CR
Here is a NOS pair that were made by VW Australia which have the part number and a pair of kangaroos
How many other styles are out there? |

Good question! You might be able to match logos with the manufacture thru the "Damage Numbers" Manual here:

I think the "GB" is a worn out "CR" stamping die.
You can see the difference in sharpness. Also may have been a slight evolution in company logo / dies.

The rubber ringed one may have had the mirror broken... and the fix was what you see... vs. messing around with the rolled edge. |

The 'crossed flags' one looks like it could potentially be by Mall.
No clue on the others... click two separate time to enlarge to max....

I thought that too but it's actually got a thicker edge than all the others as if it's been made to accomodate the rubber from new. |
