Hello,
Just wondering if anyone could let me know if this sounds okay. My right motor mount is about an inch higher, with a spacer or something to keep it up higher than the left mount. Is your type 3 like this as well? The reason I"m asking is because I have to replace my crossbar becausae it snapped, and I'm wondering if it snapped because of the difference between the two motor mounts.
Thanks |

| It might have caused it, but I doubt it. They do break every once in a while, and the mount hanger does allow some flexing. I had 1 car that used spacers on both mounts, but all that does is raise the motor up in the chassis. All of my current cars don't have a spacer under the motor mount hangers. A lot of times, when someone uses the spacers, they're trying to fix a worn out hanger rubber bushing. Just a thought. I hope this helps. |
