Looking for advice
fitting a 2160cc engine on a rebuild of a 59 ghia, and going to order a rancho pro street transmission
so its swing axle and after a bit of research looks like the original gearbox
code 6682312 and the front mount is dated to 59 that I have just took out.

so the rancho box will have later mount ? I have seen adapters that say it will be solid, this worries me about noise etc ?

also do I need the correct nose cone or will this change ?

is there anything else I would need to change ?

thanks in advance
Paul.

Have you asked the place you are getting the tranny from these questions? I'm sure they would know all of those answers, if not, maybe you should look else where.

That should be part of customer service for a vender here or anywhere.

T-2 nosecone, hockey stick and front mount, then it all bolts in.

Talk to the vendor. This is common item.

The proper way to address this is to have a bus nose cone and hockey stick installed on the new tranaxle.

This is standard when installing a later model swingaxle in a splitcase car
