I need some advice on a vw power austin healey kit car. The person that owns this car put in over $18,000 into this car, it has only 987 miles on it.
The motor was a vw create motor from volkwagon (vanagon watercooled type 1 style) w/daul webers 44's w/ac, electronic ignition, inky wheel, sitting on a custom tube chasiss w/part bug pan and ball joint vw front end. irs trans, ths car is a 2 seater w/custom hand craved wood dash, soft removable top, nice paint, vw front and rear early 60 bumpers. really nice lookin car WHAT i want to know is DO YOU THINK THIS CAR IS WORTH between $5000 to $10,000 car was built in 1993 :? email me let me know. I WOULD LIKE TO BUY THE CAR but not get ripped off.

| a picture is worth a thousand words. who manufactured the kit? who built the engine and chassis? your engine specs are a little confusing. is it aircooled or watercooled? if aircooled, is it an upright type one engine, or a flat type 4 engine? When was the last time this vehicle was licensed and driven? Fire back some answers, and you may be able to get a ballpark on the value. |

the kit was made by sache kit cars, the engine is a flat 4 water cooled made for a vw vanagon, i don't have pics, the motor was a factory create motor direct from vw same w/the trans, last time it was on the road was in 2002.

| the water cooled boxer type motor from vanagons had head gasket problems etc. not the most reliable engine in the world imho. i am surprised someone would have used that particular engine . i always thought that the healey kits were made w/ v-6 or v-8s? is it a "big" healey or a "bug eye" sprite kit? i know Sebring made a "big" healey clone. |
