The Golden Gate Chapter of the Vintage Volkswagen Club of America will be hosting their 33rd Annual Spring Meet at History San Jose at Kelley Park in San Jose on Sunday, April 23 from 8 am to 3 pm. All air-cooled VWs are welcome.
All cars entering the park MUST register for the car show and MUST park in their respective class. We will again be providing pre-registration this year starting in February so visit our website at www.ggcvvwca.org to pre-register. You will be able to pre-register your car but will pay at the front gate the morning of the show. After parking your car please go to the club booth to receive your registration materials. The cost is $20 for driver and car and each additional passenger is $5. Children under 12 are free. There is NO pre-registration for swap. Swap pays at the gate. If you would like to be a sponsor or a vendor please contact Rick Spohn at 408-683-0154 after 7 pm.
Please note there is NO alcohol, NO pets, and NO BBQs allowed inside the park. These are park rules and must be obeyed. The park has asked us to make sure everyone packs up and leaves immediately after the show is over. This has become a problem the last few years and has jeopardized our club to continue to have the show at the park.
The Holiday Inn Express located at 17035 Condit Road in Morgan Hill will be the host hotel and security will be provided. For reservations please call the hotel directly at 408-776-7676.

| Does anyone know if Kelley Park got flooded? If so, to what degree? |

The "back" parking lot (day-use area) for the park and disc golf course saw a significant amount of water. The neighborhood directly south of Kelley was one of the areas most affected and is likely still soaked. Keep those folks in your thoughts.
The museum area didn't look like it saw any, if at all, flooding by the looks of the overhead shots shown on the news. |

By the time the spring meet occurs all will be history with the storm here
except, For those that saw what happened here last week. I drove by there
today Feb 28 and it looks normal now that the Sun is out for a few days [-o<
Also, those going to the red barn on 101 it is also getting back to normal on
highway 101 in Monterey County. But You will Not be cruising up Highway
1 from south of SLO since it will be closed Indefinitely due to the bridge damage. |
