Dont think this was addressed:

I am confused as one of my 5.5's doesn't match

Has the 901 04 part number and heart but has no date stamp between the lug holes, only the fox head logo. The profile of the forging
is different to my other wheels also. Most have a circular indentation
between lug holes. This rim has a more squared off indentations?
There is "V" like stamping, maybe just sloppy work.

I can weigh them and provide more info to the experts if needed
Photos posted in wheel gallery

Thanks for any info, Kevin

I've seen those differences in the 4½s. Probably just means a different die was used.

I absolutely truly love Fuchs but I just can't handle seeing another car running them. They are just so common but undeniably sensational looking on any VW's! They are so beautifully restrained in terms of design. I'm in a real dilemma here...please help..

The thing is that they are 40 plus years old and have withstand time. To me fuchs make any VW just stand out especially the earlies. To find them is getting harder and harder, not to mention the cost is just getting higher. To have them on your ride is to have a piece of history, beauty, strength and high class wheels. That's why they're are so desirable and costly. When I see a super nice VW, I check to see what kind of wheels they're running. If no earlies than to me its a nice ride, but to be super nice gotta have the earlies. Thats just how it is.

When you say they are so common,if you got some earlies I'll take em from you.
