On a recent trip to the junkyard to find pieces for my beetle i found a 1973 squareback. The car is very complete and the interior is in excellent shape. the owner said when he bought it it ran but has been parked for many years. the problem lies in the rockers etc. For the most part about three inches all around the underside of the body need to be replaced. The guy wants $250 cash. all you type three people, do you think this is a good deal from the info i've given you? the rest of the body is good minus a few dings. i'll try to get some pics posted. thanks

Being in the rust-belt (MO, right?) the rust is way worse than it appears!
You'll need heater channels, rocker skins, and pans, at the minimum. These are not cheap or easy to find.

I say walk away.

or see if there is an interest for parts to where it could end up as a profitable situation?
