| I have a 1969 vw bug (Baja) and have a IRS Trans Ive heard that aome people use the vw bus Reduction gear trans.... Need more info Thanks... |

Yes they do but it is a swing axel...the ring and pinion run backward and the gear reduction out on the axels changes the direction back to normal.
IMO stick with the IRS sedan or go with the IRS bus box. |

I would also have to agree about sticking with an IRS. If you are using this Baja mostly for offroading then the '68-'79 bus trans is your best bet. If it is used mostly for the street, then just stick with the Bug trans. The gear reduction trans is hard to come by and is really weak compared to the Bus IRS trans. Plus it has some strange handling characteristics.
