I'm hoping to get a 69 automatic squareback soon, and so i have tried to do my research on parts and things of the such. i notice that some of the parts say NOS next to the name of the part. So I guess my question is what does NOS stand for?
if you could let me know that would be great. :D
thanks,
Z.

NOS = New Old Stock

This is not used, installed etc. The part might be sh*tty, but it's still in it's box. NOS things like wheels, switches, etc are a good idea, NOS window rubber might not be a good idea due to shelf life

NOS is the most abused word in the VW hobbiest Dictionary IMO, this has been covered many times before, check out the search button on the top of the page

Like Erik says, the word NOS is way over used. Don't always take the sellers word for it.
