Anybody have any drawings or CAD files that I can use to get some brackets cut out for front shock mounts any gusset plates or other brackets I will need to make for a Baja Bug I will be building?

what exactly are you looking for as far as a shock mount? i am a draftsman by profession and could probably throw something together for you

as far as gusset plates and brackets, do a web search for weld tabs. there are companies that mass produce these for cheap

I have seen the shock towers that replace the old ones and there is a piece that welds onto the sprindle to move the shock mount. I have a friend with a CNC plasma cutter and will cut any ACAD or DXF file I get him.
I will need to look around because I can't find it now but there was a site that showed 1 or 2 gussets needed to make the link pin tubes stronger.

link pin tubes? do you mean beam? i know there is a gusset set that is for the link pin spindles - 2 pieces per side. i have a set of those at home that i could draw up. but as far as the new towers, i would need a set to reference from. as for the lower shock mount, i want a set of these too, but never put forth the effort to find them

Yeah the beam thats it :roll: I could not for the life of me remember that yesterday.
Lower shock mount draw it up. Maybe I coudl get it cut out with everything else cheap...

i was at Kar Tek today and didnt see the lower shock mounts. i guess it would have helped to ask. if you arent in a rush, i will definitely be going back there next weekend and i can pick up some stuff i need, including the mounts

let me know what size bolts you are looking to use to mount the shock and what you are looking to mount the shock mount on to (did that make sense). I can get some parts cut out for ya! let me know.

I am taking ACAD at school right now. let me know what exactly you are needing and I will draw it up for you on CAD and send you the disk.
