Just seeing if anyone outhere may have any price indications on what a 53' zwitter split bug will be worth in Europe. I got a fully restored 53 split with heart brake light. its got a 1600 mill in at the moment for ease of use but i got the original motor in the garage.
Any idea's on whether its worth shipping from South Africa to Europe |

it depends on alot of things. how original is it? original fenders, hood, decklid, doors, bumpers glass & wheels? og paint? og interior? what was the extent of the resto? i'm sure it looks nice but exactly how much work was done to it? the more original, the more it's worth.
right now, knowing that it's a restored zwitter, i'd say anywhere between $5000 - $10,000us. i know thats a big gap. post a pick or go in depth about the resto & we'll help you out more. |

IMO - I'd say that if it is as original (including the engine you mentioned) as it sounds...it would be worth quite a lot. I'd guess in the $8,000 - $12,000 range depending on condition and rust.
If it is rusty with rotted out places...the value obviously drops drastically. If you have all the desirable parts still in working condition...I'd say you'll easily get $8000+ for it. |
