They are probably universals. Back in the 60-70's, there were a lot of stuff like that made. You took the best fit, but the price was right.
J.C. Whitney, and Warshawski sold a lot of them. |

Ok so I took my 62 non middle armrest notchback seats out to see if my fancy new seat covers would go on wrong as reported by others. Well I have to say they went straight on. I can see the back having to be fitted - as in pulled around and attached in areas for a snug fit but it was all pretty straight forward. I dont see any issues with mine at all. The corners all fit well on everything? I would recomend that all the cushions - fronts- be removed from the base, then fit the cover, then put back together for the best fit. These are almost like having new upholstery rather than covers to a certain extent.
So I dont know what to tell you boys? Im not sure if Jack had any issues with his.
Maybe with the rush to match up sets, people put bug ones in with T3 ones?

The front looks the same as my 66-67 Bus sway bar. The EMPI logo'd brackets are cool though. The rears in that style are difficult to find, especially NOS but they are out there if you are patient.
The rear is not Type 3-specific, it's just the last style made from EMPI. I believe it's very late 1960s/1970s-era.
Scott has some information them on his blog:

Not sure how rare, but I've never actually seen one of these in person. It's a VW 6 voly trunk light. Plan on putting this in the front trunk of the Notch.

finally got my stuff out of storage, and stumbled across it:
i plan to put it on my Ghia someday.
i also found a strange fog light lens that is obviously not for a VW and my NOS Type 3 Ghia headlight lens (for the euro style). |

One guy here in Finland is selling venetian blinds for fastback.
Would it be good looking in (pealr white) fastback? Never seen them in a FB. Any pics anywhere?
Worth buying?

If a good deal, go for it. They will help reduce the amount of sun that gets in through the rear window, which will help the parcel tray and rear seat top, and heat gain. |
