Hey, does anyone have any experience with the front disc kit from these guys?? It includes new spindles, rotors, calipers, pads, bearings, seals and bolts for $165.. I like the price, but I'm wary of because of the huge price difference between these guys and their competitors..
If you have any experience, be it good or bad, I'd appreciate the heads-up.
Thanx

That's the kit I put on my '71 Super, and I love it. You can view the entire installation on the website: http://www.i4putt.com/Herman/Herman.htm

Besides a quality kit, the folks there were terrific to work with. I'm getting ready to buy new cylinders, pistons and heads from them.

Thanx for the reply bub.. I talked with one of the sales guys and he assured me that the kit includes everything I will need.. At that price it's hard to say no, but I wanted to first hear from someone that has it.
I guess I'll be sporting a set of discs in the near future :D Thanx again

Can anyone tell me how much further out this pushes the front wheels?

On my super, it didn't push them out at all. You use the same spindle, and the rotor is the same depth as the brake drum you'll be removing.

so is $165 for each side or is that for both sides?

cause for $165 even a starving student like me could afford it!

That was total for the kit (both sides). The installation was a breeze if you've ever done any kind of brake work before. It took me longer to take the pictures than it did to redo the brakes!

Make sure the bearings are from a well known manufactuer. If Chinese, toss them and get F A G, Timken, or SKF.
