| Aloha, Was looking through the Gallery and saw a post from Neill in the UK of this old Beetle Vert that had split window bumpers and crotch coolers. I also saw that this bug had 1 piece vert windows with chrome trim! Was that stock back then? Beautiful stuff if it is!!! Sorry I couldnt paste the picture to my topic, but its on page 14 of the Gallery called "old bug". Mahalo Rotdog |

Is it this one you are refering to?
Yes they did have one piece windows up to Sept. 1952 (until the crotch coolers were removed too)

They definitly ended in September 1952!! :? If you have these on your '66 I guess you have a "hybrid"... :wink: |

A welder, they aren't factory. Crotch coolers were from Early 51 til September of 52. October 52 cars had vent wings and no crotch coolers. |

I thought it was mid to late 51 when they added crotch coolers.
Ive seen the later hamster tube type crotch coolers on bugs up to 67. They start at the horngrilles and end where the split type crotch coolers end. |

Your absolutely right. From ch nr. 1-0 244 ??? (13.04.1951) to ch.nr. 1-0 397 022 (Oct. 1952) had crotch coolers. |
