An apparently unmolested American-spec '65 sunroof Square for $600? That would be mighty tempting. Jerome's not that far from you, is it?

Well, then. There's easily $600 in parts there if it's too rusty to restore. I'd say you can't lose.

ETPEak Sun Sep 14, 2008 8:57 pm

I just need a few things off of it

You know, the 5 lug brakes, tranny, correct and compleet S motor, the doors, hood, glass (all that heavy shit every one wants but wont pay to ship).

Dont forget the accessories! Those sleeper hinges, folding shifter, tach, parcel tray, seat recliners.

That cars a gold mine!

Sunroof parts, sheet metal, small parts and trim, glass, and whatever salvageable early mechanical parts are left.

If it was closer I'd buy it for sure.

Shit $600 you cant loose even if you move it on later. Looks like I drug my feet too long. I actually e-mailed him the day the ad came out, but I was the 2nd person to do so. Someone is supposed to pick it up on Friday. If they don't he'll call me back.

He came and bought my '65 square parts car that I was planning to cut up. It has many of the pieces that he needs for the sun roof car. I'm not disappointed, because the car will now be saved instead of sitting in my barn for a few years while I try to get enough money together to do it.

All this sunroof talk has me thinking.....
A friend of mine has a '65 Sunroof Squareback, with no engine.
Otherwise complete / in either Sea Blue or VW Blue. It's been sitting for years. Maybe I should buyit and get it going
