I've been running a local club for years. Get a group of people together. Try to have monthly meetings. We meet at a Ruby Tuesday's and they give us a 10% discount on food and drink. They also have a large parking lot, so we meet at 7:00pm and don't go inside until 8:00pm.

Try to schedule some events... cruises to shows, monthly cruise nights, BBQ, Tech sessions and so on.

When you get enough members try to do a newsletter and then you can collect dues.

We also have a holiday parts and this is our 21 annual car show.

As for the VVWCA... i'm the local Chapter Rep on Long Island. They're in the process of reoganizing and changing the way chapters work. Give them time.

a name what about a name if we start our own...like to become local chapter but if not...need to go by some guide lines or just make them up as we go?

To be a VVWCA Chapter... you can have you're own name.

By laws help, but you don't have to have any.

My club is NorthEastern Volkswagen Association
