I'm thinking of driving a VW out to jersey and then selling it. Everyone in jersey loves a california car!! Does anybody know anyone who wants one delivered, or would be interested in buying one when I get there.
I'll arrive in early August.
Also, if anyone knows of anyone who buys VWs and resells them....that might be another option for me.
thanks
spencer

I've seen a couple for sale, but haven't been very impressed with the condition/price ratio. Are this anything particular about verts that makes them so desirable out East?

Yeah. They like to live up the 2 days of summer they get. ;)

that's exactly the reason they are desirable, finding the right one is not easy. i was looking for roughly a year, was zeroing in on a 69 in st. louis or a 74 in virginia. i wound up driving to virginia and brought that one home. it turns out, it was originally a california car, must have gotten tired of all that summer 8)

Sweet Goodness! If I had only known folks would deliver them to me without prompting. Being an East Coast native, I can vouch for the desire for CA cars up here. Searching for a coupe for about 5 years in jersey, and I never found one in reasonable shape with a reasonable price. Finally I moved out to PA, and I'm still searching. I wouldnt recommend coming out w/o knowing either a couple buyers or a few places that might take it off of your hands, but it shouldnt be hard. In my experience in central Jersey, you could probably add value to your car just by getting it here. -Dayv
