Is it ok to drive with out tail pipes for 2 days? I need knew clamps for mine because one of them has fallen out.

Fumes will get sucked into your engine compartment without the tailpipes. Make sure you keep the heater ("Temp?") control to OFF and keep your windows open when the engine is running.

K will do, I was a little worried about Carbon monoxide poisoning so I leave the windows open, and its almost summer so no need for heat. But thanx. Also can you still have the problem of tailpipes slipping out with new clamps or do new clamps eleminate the problem?

Thanx again.

just make sure you put the clamps on right and tight, then they shouldn't fall out.. is whatyou should do is get your self a inexpensive bugpack header and something to bolt on it that suits your taste.. i perfer the sitinger with baffle.. but the glass pack is cool and the quitepack has a solid rumble

I was thinking of a quite pack but never heard one, 800luvbugg has a muffler that looks intresting to me. If you get a quite pack do you also replace the muffler?

I got my new ones, they are flared ends and i got the clamps, sounds sweet!

get the bug pack header and glass pack from the realsource there the cheepiest i think.. then go and pay 30 more $$ and get a stinger and baffle just remember to put a screw in so you don't loose your baffle, trust me you'll love how it sounds.. your neighbors won't.. lol

mom wont let me get a stinger :-(

Listen to yer mother, stingers suck on street cars. Not only are they loud and obnoxious, they rob your motor of horsepower. Open exhausts work best when your are driving WFO [like on a drag strip]. In normal street driving you need some backpressure for your motor to operate optimally. A quiet pack muffler on a tuned header is your best bet on a stock engine. Look at systems from S&S or Berg.

One other caution about driving without the pea shooters on the stoock muffler. If your motor runs hot, or if it's a hot day, you can bugger up ther paint big time on your rear apron with the added heat.

any suggestions on how to keep the tail pipes in the muffler? I got new clamps and tighted them all the way down where the metal on the ends was touching. I tryed tightining one more but the bolt broke. luckily I had an old one in good shape.
