Ok, I have never got around to asking this question but my car has a R (stands for reserve I guess) near the end on the guage with a red bar through that whole messurement (there is R then 1/3 then 1/2 then 1/1)
so my question is (since there is no reserve tank) is that can you go into the red bar area or is that empty? |

| I tried going into R once and on almost every right hand curve the car would die from fuel starvation. So now I don't let it go below 1/3. No problem, really. The bug now doubles as the world's coolest gas can for my lawn mower and snow blower. |

| your gas tank has a smaller dropped portion in the bottom of the gas tank. When your in the R area on your gauge you've only got what gas is left in that bottom portion. |
