Hi. I've decided to model my baja bug after a class 5 baja bug. Just for info, the bottom is completely gone. I'm talking, from middle of doors down, metal gone, totalled by rust. But the roof is good. I'm not destroying a restorable bug...anyway, my plan is to completely tube frame the the car(pans are gone, tunnel is intact) and i'm looking for sites on the web, that i can use ideas/see pictures, to start to frame the body out. Right now, the sky's the limit, i want the car to look like it's ready for baja, but to be used mostly for street. It would really help a lot to model the car, using references. thanks a lot, ryan

I just finished building a street legal class 5 car. It wasn't cheap but I had it out at the desert last weekend ant it was a blast. I will post some pics as soon as i figure out how. I'm better with cars than with computers but if you want i will E-mail you pics of the build.

there are some decent pics on the blindchicken site, although some of it is kinda backyardish. The blindchicken cars are more woods riders than class 5 stuff. Baja 5 has some pics of his build in the gallery, very nice car.

Ps: Baja5 email me your pics. I'll post them for you.

i'm not sure there's room enough in it to live, cause that's the only way i could do it. Sell my house and live in it. of course my wife would divorce me and probably take the money then i'd just be homeless. i guess i'll just stick with what i have.

The guy said he wanted it to look like a class 5 but be mostly street driven, and that the "sky was the limit".
Therefore I posted the newest, trickest street legal preruner types I could find. I can post lots of mediocre cars if that's preferable...
Here is a real live class 5. The bottom link is repaired...thanks for pointing it out.

WOW :D :o Those cars are awsome thats just what I want to do with my bug! Why could'nt you drive those on the street anyway? If it works off road it should be sweet on road.

Those cars are definitely insane. I would be fun to ride in one, but that might also be bad. I tend to get hooked pretty easily and next thing you know i'm up to my eyeballs in credit card debt. I wish i had some fab skills. be alot cheaper if i new how to build one from scratch. Mabey it could be the next Bradmobile.
