I just got my new turnsignals and wiper switches. Everything is straight forward enough, just plug in the matching connections. Except for a little black wire that just dangles from the wiper switch. Does anyone know where the heck this little wire connects to? thanks for you advice...

The black wire? That's the one that carries electricity... Oh, wait. WHAT YEAR IS YOUR CAR?!
From your post I can only guess it's a 1973/74 with the turn signal lever and integral wiper switch. If thats the case, your leftover wire is likely the power wire to actuate the high-beam relay. |

Hey Jason,
You are absolutely right, my ghia is a 73. So if it is to the high beam relay, then where does it plug into physically? is there a slot for it that is not a part of the two big white plastic connectors found on the turnsignal and wiper switches? Thanks for your good gung fu man!

Well I went to the repair shop and installed the turnsignal and wiperswitches myself, but the little black wire off the wiper switch is not plugged into anything I can find! It seems to all work, but I am really concerned about the dangling black wire. Where oh where does it go?
