VW shows in the 80's and 90's had some crazy ass bikini contests. Even The Classic had bikini contests. I dont miss the Mullets but I do miss them bikini contests. Tina New, Tylene Buck etc, etc. Remember you could tell who's wives and girlfriends had their men in check once the contest was announced because they would straight be on lockdown at their car unable to watch the contest go down while everybody else was bum rushing the stage. Those were tha days

ATCO had one last year. Also had a tire toss and a coupla other funny contests. Plus the drag racing. My girls enjoyed it all. Is ATCO the last of a dying breed of show?

At ATCO the girl who won was the daughter of the car-dealer sponsor of the show. She was escorted to the bikini contest by her family (or security detail...hard to tell which one it was).

Since the voting was by acclamation it was pretty easy to see that the sponsor had ordered all his employees to pack the stands (or presumably not bother to come in to work the next day).

i think in a lot of cases (magazines especially) it's "political correctness", but i also think it's getting harder to find decent looking women who are interested in participating. that may be partly becasue of political correctness as well when you boil it down.

I think the bikini contests ended because a lot of the hillbilly girls were sporting ZZ Top beards in their thongs. Just not enough material to cover the vines growing wild.

They still have them at the Bug Out...and judging by last year's crop it would be pretty easy to win...anyone out there willing to shave his back and wear a bikini to win $50?

SIR used to have one... then a few years ago they kept asking for entrants. I had friends suggest I enter as I was... wearing a greasy coverall from messing with the bus. But I was checking out the swaps. No one entered. No contest. They didn't have another. there's your answer.. the girls think they're lame.
why don't you guys do a tighty whiteys contest? lol :)
