I have a 68 kombi sitting under a tree covered in moss waiting for me to get some money in my life...
...and then theres my 91 GMC Sonoma
rwd with a 2.5 4cyl.
I've never known a vehicle to get stuck in the snow more than this thing can manage. Its actually rather impressive.

Why?
its just the same kind of charm like ACVWs. cheap, small, reliable (if you take care of them which few people did because they were viewed as disposable cars due to the $4k price), it has a personality like aircooled do and i like the way it looks. it has tons of potential.
sure they were low quailty archaic shit boxes but they are much more advanced then our dubs. did you know they have fiber optic instument lights? small, weird, rare cars are just what intrest me. besides this one is in damn good shape for a 20yr old 3rd world "abortion", i just had to save it. is that a good enough reason?

My beater.
My fun car.
A web picture of a motorcycle like mine. I removed my right mirror (on purpose), fake radiator shrouds, and decals.

My current daily driver is a '97 Acura 3.0 CL.
Along with my '57 oval I also have two Mitsubishi Galant VR-4s,a green '92,and a white '91. Rare sleepers, they came turbocharged and AWD with leather interiors, four wheel steering, etc. Basically, they are 4-door versions of the Eclipse GSX. They are limited edition car, there were only 3000 imported to the US. 2000 in '91 and 1000 in '92.
I catch a lot of flack from my v8 and VW friends but they totally practical, cheap to modify and a blast to drive. Plain jane and ugly is the point, that's why they appeal to me as sleepers. My green one ran 13.59@101 with $1900 in the entire car,and my white one has gone 12.39@114 in pump gas trim. With some tuning and driving a bit more agressive (i had to drive home!),it has high 11 sec potential.
Only picture I have,I was mounting a new intercooler and fabbing up pipes:

Only picture I have, leaving for college last August. 174k trouble free miles!
Personally, I think the newest CR-V has lost all of the character of the original model. But, you can't buy a first generation one new :D :D :D |

My hack to get to the train station, a 1990 Peugeot Mi16 - the Hamster has called it 'a future classic' - I just hope it keeps running long enough for that to come true.
Wife's hack is an 02 Renault Laguna wagon.
Other cars at home are a 1974 Triumph 2500 TC Mk II (one owner) and a 1955 Lancia Aurelia B12 (3 owner, same owner the 2nd and 4th time - this is the actual car my mum was driven to the hospital in for me to be born.) |

Bugdog,
It's a '73. 1969 was the first year for a TR6, and would have had a windshield frame painted the same color as the body, and the sticker on the rear quarters would have looked similar to the ones that came on the rear of old GTOs'.
I have a '69 model car for parts that's more like a TR250 than a TR6. Supposedly it's the 101'st TR6 built to US specification. The first commission # is CC25003, and my parts car is CC25104. |
