On my stock 78 fuel injection, the gasket between my alternator stand and crankcase is leaking oil. (I think it was caused, or encouraged, by a clogged breather tube in my oil filler mount--a problem I've now fixed.)
Can I get the alternator off without removing my engine? How?

| its tricky, but i'm pretty sure its possible. try removing the decklid and then pulling up the fan shroud |

| Once you get the alternator off, you have to dissassemble the intake air plenum box to get at the last nut holding the alternator stand to the case. |
