| Has anyone tried making the 3 rods that fold the sunroof when it is pushed back? These rods are a 1/2" arched steel tube which has about 4" of flatness on each end. Like to hear how it turned out. I don't think they are being reproed...? |

| I know of a guy who made them for his 54 beetle sunroof and the bus sunroof and 3 fold beetle sunroof are very similar. I believe he had help from a machine shop guy. |

| These rods have seen better days on my sunroof and I was planning on getting some made in the next few weeks as im about to recover my roof. Also thought about making some of the other sunroof metal work too. |
