Hey all!
I'm looking at getting a new door for my '68 vert. I found a '70s vert door, but not sure it will fit correctly. Is there a resource that can tell me for sure what parts can be transfered between different years?
TIA! |

It will fit.
Go to Jason's site and look that the parts catalog he has posted. His site is the best resource on the web for information about Ghias.

| Thanks Coad. I wasn't sure with his site because it lists the door as not longer availble and doesn't mention a year. |

Ah, what good day yesterday. Went and picked up a body chrome set and a new door for the passenger side, all for $50. (Thanks Sandra!) I had the paint stripped off the new door in an hour, compared to the 8+ I spent on the original (it had a nice thick layer of bondo on it).
I have a question though. I found tha the new door and a snap on it, just behind the mirror. Anyone know that that might be for?
TIA! |

Tonneau cover probably. Snapped on to cover the cockpit when the top was down.
Mine had a bunch of snaps for one on the doors and the dash-- all around the edge of the passenger compartment. Don't think I've ever seen a picture of one installed in the gallery. I don't think they were a very popular item.
Here's one on some other make of sportscar:

| That is just what I was thinking. I'll just have to take it off. Do they unscrew, or something a little more forceful? (Mine was covered in paint remover so I couldn't see inside it real well.) |
