The Colorado VW Bus Club's annual Dan Jensen's Campout is right around the corner. The campout is held on private property in the mountains near Kremmling, Co and is set for the 9th - 11th of July. The elevation is 9000 feet, so the days are cool and the nights can get chilly. The property is situated on top of a mountain with beautiful views in all directions. The campsite is specifically set up for camping, with a complete kitchen, two full bathrooms, and power. Activities include : Hiking, Mountain Biking, Bird Watching, Chili cook off, Fishing (colorado fishing license required) musical jam session, and various other activities.

Jensen Property Campout
July 9 - 11
Friday Night - BBQ
Saturday - Chili Cookoff

Directions to property of Dan Jensen

Take I-70 west to Silverthorne exit. Turn right. Travel north for about
12.2 miles. Turn right on Ute Pass Road to Henderson Mill. You will have to
travel around the mill on the main road. In about 10 miles, you will come to
a three way intersection, stay left.
A little ways down the road there will be a campground. Go past the
campground. You will be traveling north. You should soon see a white
farmhouse on the left side of the road. About 100 yards past the farmhouse
on your right side, there will be a sign that says "Morgan Gulch Ranch."
Turn onto this road and head down the hill. At the bottom of the hill is a
bridge running over a river. Don't worry about the bridge its safe (cement
trucks have used it). About 200 yards past the bridge there will be a gate.
If it is unlocked continue down the road. If it is locked you will have to
put in the combination. (email for the combination) You will continue down the road to a spot where you need to stay right and go up the hill. When you are at the top of the hill, you will see a big stone cabin on your right. Go past this for about half a mile to what looks to be a turn a round that's where we will park until you find a good spot for your bus.

Helpful hints;

The altitude is about 9,500 feet so the nights can get cool and the days are
warm. It is not unusual for an afternoon shower. There are bathrooms and
places for fires (if it's not to dry).

If you need to bring your pets keep them close we are fairly remote, we don't want them getting lost or hurt.

On Friday night there will be a BBQ bring your own meat and a salad to
share. On Saturday will be the second annual chili cook off.
