Hi, i have been running a 1776 with cw crank, engle 110 cam ,scat 1.25 rockers,041 heads and duel 40 webbers for a wile .Its geting old and i would like more power im tring to put together a combo that would work good with my freeway flyer tranny .I thought about just rebuilding it and putting some better heads on it but having it that far apart i might be better off having it machined for 94s and build a 1914.I have also been looking into stroking it but i would like to run my 40s and that might limit the performance thie bigger i go .I figured poeple here will have some good ideas and experiences with some good combos .Thanks bk63rag :)

63 rag, I would keep the 90.5 holes in your case and put in a stroker crank. You can always re-jet your carbs for your new setup. I would invest some money into decent heads, thats where you can really make good power. If you run it and decide the carbs are too small you can always sell the carbs to get bigger ones. Good luck, Todd.

Yeah, the heads are a big decision there are alot out there i was looking at CB Performances cnc ported 44s .Im not sure witch ones would work better on my engine i would like some thing in between with the 3.88 gears i need more low end torqe .I plan on driving this car on short trips on the freeway so i have to be able to climb hills and keep up with the flow of trafic. In my understanding some are better for high reving drag engines and some are better for torqe ? I also have a pair of 44s i have had for years but they need some work and im not good at rebuilding them i would rather have a pro do them.Does anyone know of a place in Nor Cal that does work on webbers ?
