What's your budget, and how reliable do you want it to be?
Fast,
Reliable,
Cheap.
Pick two. |

Best bang for the buck is going to be a 1914cc.
How much power you make will depend a lot on how much you want to spend on heads and carbs. If you want to make big power, this is where you will have to focus. (cams all cost the same, headers aren't that different in price, etc, etc.) Put half your engine budget toward these two things if you want real power. |

You'll need to let everyone know what the engine is going in, what you need the car to do (daily driver, weekend only, track only, etc), what your budget is, and how much mechanical knowledge you have.
There is no "bigger is better" when it comes to motors. What do you need, and what do you have? |
