| (Kadrons, scat linkage, .034 vaccum advance) Okay so i took off the linkage and adjusted the idle and the mixture and got it idiling at just under 1k. I adjusted the linkage so when I put the bolts onto the engine it wouldn'tmove the throttle arm. But after I put the linkage on the idle went up to a bit over 1k, then as I drove it around the idle went to 1.5k. I'm thinking this mioght be the reason why my gas milage is kinda sucking ::crosses fingers::. So any info? |

These are shot in the dark questions, but are the locknuts tight? Also, are your return springs strong enough? Do you have any lube on the heim joints?
I have had all of these effect my idle. Also, make sure that the accelerator cable isn't too tight, where it connects to the linkange, as this will also rev up your idle, by pulling the throttle open a little. Is your cable sticking anywhere? Also, check to see if your gas pedal is coming up all the way.
Anyone else have any ideas? SOme of these sound a little too simple, but sometimes, that's what it is. |
