| My passenger side door handle is missing the keyhole. a) Can I just have a copy made from the driver's side keyhole to fit my key and/or b) where can I find a really good cond. Type III door handle? Anybody? thanks! |

| Don't think you can get a lock made for your passenger handle that will fit the key you already have--at least not at a price you'd like. You can get a new used right door handle, and have a locksmith make a key for it, but then you have to carry an extra key. There was a classified ad recently here offering a complete set of T3 locks (ignition, door, hatch) and they were the later type that used a single key. May still be available That's the best way to go. |

What year?
You can take your key to a locksmith and have any door lock re-keyed to match...just ask around.
And I more than likely have a handle and lock if you need them. |

If you send all your keys and locks to Gabriels VW Keys in California, they can match all of them to work on one key. They advertise in the samba classifieds.
