I have a 1970 bug, 1600 single port. I decided that i want to get dual carbs for it. I dont think i want to convert it to dual port, but the dual Weber 34 ict look like they would work nice with a single port engine. Since my carb. I have now is shot, I figure I should just get better carbs for a little more kick. I just wanted to know, what everyone thought of the 34 ict's. If they're worth my hard earned bread. :D

I have 34 ICTs on my 1776 and really like them. They are easy to set up and have stayed in sync. Power is smooth and so is idle. I have been running this setup for 3 years.
Just curious do the make single port manifolds for ICTs? If they fit your application I would say go for it.
Good Luck,

ICT's are great carbs for mild motors. Those and Dellorto FRD's (almost identical). I never liked the stock linkage on the FRD's, but the linkage with the ICT's works great. They do offer ICT's with singleport manifolds too.

I installed a set of ICT's on a friends single-port 1600 a couple months ago. They were a cinch to set up, and the difference in power and throttle response was very noticable.
