How do you lower the back of an irs compaired to a swing axle. I know how to do the torsion bar adjustments, but do i have to disconect the swing arm on the irs or the axle?

You'll have to disconnect both ends - or the outer side at least. otherwise you wont be able to release the springplate from the torsion bar.

Make sure you scribe a line around the springplate to show where the A-arm went - this is because there is a small amount of adjustment there - this will affect the camber of the rear wheels. (OK so the camber will change when you lower the car but its nice to have the camber the same on both sides.)

Better still is to go have an alignment check after you have lowred it.

Ahh almost forgot -

Other than the a-arms the principle is the same.
