ok .. can a new forty crank fit in a New case? like the as41 cases?

also....

I am really looking for a crank outta a 1303 eurospec 40 hp outta super but I am not sure who well that search is gonna turn out for me.

My motor plan...

64 mm crank.. 83 mm 1500 pistons. turn down cly. to fit the 64 stroke. 1302/1303 40hp DP heads. then a judson...makeing a 1385.

OK. one. dont tell me I want a bigger engine. I dont.. I want a judson, and to be a lil differnt this is what I am gonna build.. Not I dont want to through the judson on a stock 1600 makes the judson work to hard.... dont waste EB band with tell me to do that....

Two.. anybody with ides.. Post em...

the crank will fit the new case, but there are several problems with your idea. 1) the wrist pin location and possibly the wrist pin size of the 1500 pistons will not work with the 40 hp rod, so you would want "big bore" 40 hp p/c's. this leads to problem 2) 40 hp cylinders wont fit in a new case. not sure how one of thos euro cases would work. i have a stock 40 built off of one of them, but its in a car and i am not sure whats in it.

have you considered a stroker 40 hp? which is essientially a 1300? machine .020 off each side of the rod and a 69mm crank drops into a 40 hp case with the 40hp rods on it connected to 77mm p/c's. those thick ass cylinder walls might be better for the judson anyways. rocker geometry would need to be addressed with this motor though. taking it a step farther, you could have the stroker 40 hp, use big bore 40 hp p/c's and end up with a 1500 in a 40 hp package.

i have read the posts, but I have yet to see any questions about horses. Shouldn't this be in a farming forum? TeeHee

uh? I think you're mixing things up, an european 1302/1303 has a dual port 1300cc engine (1200 was optional but nobody "opted"), wich had 44 din hp, and of course the same 69mm as all 1300/1500/1600 engines.
