After taking me cross country back in 98, my 66 Standard has sat for 5 years awaiting some rust repair and a renewed power plant.
I fixed the rust in the rocker last summer, and scored a decent engine from the local VW guy last week. Spent all wekend switching over engines and now its back on the road...
Planning on spending the rest of the summer and winter slowly restoring the rest of the well worn bits...

| keep up the good work dude! So what's next on the list to do? can i ask you whether you'll use it as a daily runner, or just weekends + going to shows, etc? |

At the moment the brakes seem to need a little attention, I had them all set last year, but currently it seems only one is working and locks up real easy... not good...
I've been slowly taking out a few dings and dents in the body.. and along with giving the cargo floor a little attention is what I'll focus on this summer...
The bus is just an around town bus... my daily commute is 70 miles, so its not my main vehicle (plus it sits in the garage for the VT winters) |
