My clutch tube broke in two places, one is where the by the pedal and the other is in the middle, Im going to be putting in a stage 2 clutch in my car and was wondering if i should reinforce the tube, or what i can do to prevent this from happening again. When I go to do the job is there anything i should look out for

Put an aftermarket hydralic clucth on your car, I think you can even get it from Empi. This would eliminate the clucth cable & tube all together, plus it will be more bullet proof with a stage 2 clutch.

When you consider the amount of work involved fixing the clutch tube to that of installing the hydraulic clutch, you'll probably opt for hydraulic. I've done both, and the only reason I would not go hydraulic is if it's a restoration where it just has to be stock.

My clutch tube was snapped in two at the rearmost support. When I pulled the Bowden tube off, out came the end of the steel tube. What I am doing is to tack weld it at the support, and weld a plate where it exits the tunnel( remove old rubber boot, and drill two holes in 1/8" thick metal, tack to the accel and clutch tubes and to the tunnel end. I think it should be enough support.). That being said, I kinda agree with these guys-- hydro will be much easier, and I think you can switch it back, should you decide on a stock one later.
