Yes, Boyz and Gurlz of all ages listen up :!: This is a tribute to all the guys that call DDB Central their home away from home... and who provide us all with a priceless resource for all things Type 3. Who toil tirelessly over the projects that we either bring to them or are helped with from afar. For Martin's "can do" attitude and how he very gently lets us know that what we want to do sometimes may have to be re-thought...he hates to quit on anything, which is a rare and wonderful thing to run into nowadays. That he would even take on such a burden and remain dedicated to one of the things that he loves (Type3 VW's) is a double edged sword because it is all to easy to lose that love when you are overwhelmed by that thing on a daily basis.
Through it all Martin has offered his parts and labor and products at more than reasonable prices, and that bears out his dedication to the "red headed step child of the VW family" as he puts it. Not to mention the countless hours spent giving advice and direction to those folks who may never patronize his business. Not to mention the fact that he has taken on the further task of trying to organize those of us here in the Nothwest to show a strong turnout at events whenever possible....I was part of the contingent that met and cruised together to the Woodburn show and it was a great feeling cruising I-5 with every body and all the turned heads and positive responses we got.
We , as members of the Type3 family, owe a debt to Martin for all that he does for us, and all he will do for us in the future. We need to make sure that Martin is a success for it will benefit us all in no small way.... So Buy Martin's ridiculously cheaps parts and those that can, get your project to him for the kind of TLC that is non-existent here in the Northwest othwerwise.
Martin and TheDDB are certainly not the only folks dedicated to this segment of our "Hobby" and I in no way mean to belittle the contribution that others like the 1500 Club and ISP west and Type3 Detectives and individuals like BobNotch make to us all.... |

| I agree with Brent 100%. Martin and the DDB ARE providing us type3 owners with an invaluable resource. Having bought some parts from him (and I'm over 2000 miles away), I wouldn't hessitate to buy again. :D His service is excellent, prices are resonable, and I prefer to help the little guy survive (like going to my FLAPS (where they know me by name)instead of the chain places). His knowlege and dedication are unbelieveable in todays world, and more companies could learn from him. :D Having talked with others on different forums, they've ALL had nothing but good things to say about him. So all of you who have been putting it off, buy something, you won't regret it. And he's working on some new products too, which only help us even more. 8) |

It's actually a blazing 500MHz, and 56K dialup isn't that bad unless *you*'ve been spoiled by broadband. :-P
I'm gonna see if that box can be overclocked.. |

| yes! The DDB definitely rocks! I've praised them many a time when people are looking for parts for their cars. The service is excellent, the parts are all good quality and the knowledge and help they provide has got to be the best around, no matter what kind of problems I have, from deciding what to do with my bug engine I had in my car to checking out the new engine I bought that was full of water, Martin has always been there with the right answers. This post got me thinking, I need more parts for my car, better go call Martin. |

56k sucks, period. And it's worst because it ties up the shops phone line when in use! |
