I'm sure the subject has come up but I haven't found much on it. Has anyone used the John Deere Blitz black paint to paint a car. I like the look of it and it's super cheap. It's not even that I don't have the money to use a better paint but I just dig the stuff. Looks good on a fastback so I'm gonna try it out. Just curious if anyone else has tried it.

It has come up before but I don't think there were many around here that were huge fans. I'm actually considering it myself. I bet you'd be able to find much more info at http://www.volksrods.com. They are almost all in some sort of primer, flattened paint, or Blitz Black.

Blitz Black is very common for hot rodders. Check out volksrods.com forum and click on the "Too Lazy for Search Function" thread that's sticky on top. There's some good info there about that there.

Im spraying my car in blitz black and another john deere color. It looks way better than flattened paints or primers cause its actually satin rather than flat. Good stuff, i highly reccomend it. Plus i payed $22 for 2 quarts plus reducer. Its $24 a gallon.

Oldskool69 where the heck do you buy the JDBB paint? I can't seem to find it online well a good source of it anyway and nobody in my home town carries any. I'm definately going to use it though.

You can get them online directly from them at www.johndeere.com From there they have a local retailer as well by zipcode, though you may have to register to use that function.
Check your local farm supply store as well, or even auto paint supply store. They may carry them. |

I got mine locally, on the john deere site it has a dealer locator. Most dealers will ship it if john deere wont.

Got my paint for $23.80 ibn Tucson, Az they had to order it from Phoenix but I'm happy with the price. Now I just need my dad to let me come over and make a mess of his garage.
